Accenture books $90M CISA mission support award

Accenture's U.S. federal subsidiary will provide data analytics and vulnerability research and analysis support to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency under a $90 million contract.

Part of the Homeland Security Department, CISA leads the nation’s efforts to protect physical and cyber infrastructure. Accenture Federal Services will support CISA’s cybersecurity division, specifically the vulnerability management insights bureau.

The company will support risk mitigation strategies for the agency’s partners and stakeholders.

Accenture Federal Services will work with leaders at departments, agencies and other companies on efforts to reduce the likelihood of potential attacks.

“This is important work, as it supports the agency and its partners with protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure and enhancing overall cyber resilience,” Accenture Federal Services CEO Ron Ash said in a release.

CISA’s vulnerability management insights branch is responsible for helping the agency meet requirements of the 2022 Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act. This legislation requires that covered entities report cyber incidents and ransomware payments, enabling the agency to rapidly spot trends and share information with network defenders.

In 2021, CISA chose Accenture Federal Services for a $112 million contract to support the protection of civilian agency systems against cyberattacks.
