On Tuesday, October 11, The MITRE Corporation and the Federal Government SOA Community of Practice will hold the 12th SOA for e-Government Conference: Practical Models Across the Federal Government. Open to government personnel and contractors, this free conference will focus on examples of practical models being used to develop and manage shared, composable services in and across the federal government. Participants will review real case studies with MITRE and Federal Government SOA CoP experts and learn about implementing services incrementally, structuring realistic governance, and adopting cloud computing as a means to realize services implementation. The event will provide opportunities to network with government leaders and industry experts and meet service providers exhibiting their products and services. Speakers include Dr. Julie DelVecchio Savage, MITRE Chief Engineer, Command and Control Center, and Melvin Greer, Co-Chair Cloud Computing Working Group, NCOIC , and Senior Fellow, Chief Strategist SOA & Cloud Computing, Lockheed Martin.
