The Military Vehicles Exhibition and Conference (MVEC 2011), scheduled for August 9-11, at the Cobo Center in Detroit, MI is taking a proactive approach to these ongoing developments by expanding its focus to incorporate building an effective and efficient supply chain to enhance collaboration between the military and the vehicles community.
Already the largest stand-alone military vehicles exhibition in the US, MVEC 2011 will expand its horizons to address a number of mission-critical imperatives, including:
• Synchronizing the plans and actions of all agencies involved In procurement, integration, sustainability, reset and management of vehicles
• Adjusting fleet size and mix to ensure all services have the right vehicles at prices in line with budgetary requirements
• Advancing research and development to ensure that vehicles have the necessary armor and weapons as well as the power and capacity to carry them
• Outfitting vehicles with updated technology, including communication, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment
Military Vehicles Exhibition and Conference (MVEC 2011) will provide an industry-specific forum uniting the interests of the military with non-military professionals. R&D and engineering specialists, OEMs, program management, suppliers on every level, service providers, DoD agencies, logistics personnel, and academics will convene to discuss the latest materials and manufacturing processes sustainability initiatives.
Among the key goals will be to create productive new business alliances and find new ways to combine traditional, rapid and hybrid acquisition methods
The respected conference program will address vital areas of concern, including tracks on such as vehicle modernization, armor and survivability, vehicle sustainment, research and development and future design. Speakers will come from military commands, PEOs and development teams, as well high-level industry leaders and academics.
