On Tuesday, April 12, The MITRE Corporation and the Federal SOA Community of Practice will host a free, full-day conference—Driving SOA Program Success and Efficiency—in McLean, Va. Open to government personnel, contractors, and service providers, the goal of the conference is to communicate and demonstrate the planning, design, and execution of SOA projects in the federal government. The conference will feature two keynote speakers: Ajay Budhraja, CTO, US Department of Justice, IR, and Captain Michael Ryan, Commanding Officer, Operations System Center, United States Coast Guard, and 2011 Fed 100 Winner. Hear from these experts in addition to several others who are delivering results on federal programs. Plenary and networking sessions are also scheduled.
The conference will feature two keynote speakers: The morning keynote speaker is Ajay Budhraja, CTO, US Department of Justice, IR. Budhraja has over 20 years of IT experience leading large-scale projects in the areas of telecom, business, manufacturing, airlines, finance, government. The afternoon keynote speaker is Captain Michael Ryan, Commanding Officer, Operations System Center, United States Coast Guard, and a 2011 Fed 100 Winner. Under Captain Ryan’s leadership, the Coast Guard’s Operations System Center developed the Semper Paratus Enterprise Architecture Realization service-oriented architecture, which will save millions of dollars and has already improved data sharing and enhanced the service's response to events such as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
