Howard A. Schmidt is currently special assistant to President Obama and the White House cybersecurity coordinator. In this role, Schmidt is responsible for coordinating interagency cybersecurity policy development and implementation, as well as engagement with federal, state, local, international and private sector cybersecurity partners. Schmidt has more than 40 years' experience in government, defense, law enforcement and corporate security including C-level roles with the Information Security Forum, eBay, the Department of Homeland Security and Microsoft Corp. He also served as vice chair of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board, special adviser for cyberspace security for the White House, and with the FBI and Air Force Office of Special Investigations. * THIS EVENT IS CLOSED TO PRESS.
