Interior to get new deputy CIO

Most people go to where the money is, but Lawrence Gross is going away from the treasury.

Gross is leaving his job as the Treasury Department’s associate chief information officer for e-government to be deputy CIO at the Interior Department, the DorobekInsider reports.

In the last two months, Interior has had some major changes in its CIO office. In May, Sanjeev “Sonny” Bhagowalia, former CIO, left for the General Services Administration to be deputy associate administrator for innovative technologies.

Last month, Bernard Mazer was named chief information officer, a shift from CIO of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
