Former fed takes on more Networx work

Ken Thompson, a former federal Networx telecommunications transition manager, has been hired by TurningPoint Global Solutions as director of Networx Transition Services, the company announced today.

Thompson is now responsible for administering the Consumer Product Safety Commission's move from its FTS2001 telecommunications systems to Networx Universal, the new telecommunications system.

Before TurningPoint, Thompson spent 18 years in various telecommunications program management roles in the Veterans Affairs Department. Most recently, he led the $1.5 billion telecommunications infrastructure and services transition for the VA. Thompson retired from the VA in May 2009.

TurningPoint is a software engineering and information technology services company.
