Xenith adds IT services portfolio through acquisition

Xenith makes an acquisition to gain more IT service offerings for federal agencies and combine that with what the company already does in business process consulting.

Xenith Solutions, a business process consultant to federal agencies, has acquired Tri-Cor Industries to gain more of an IT services footing in the government market.

Terms of the transaction announced Wednesday were undisclosed. TCI becomes a subsidiary of Xenith, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business.

Reston, Virginia-based Xenith views the acquisition as bringing to it more capability and resources in efforts to create large-scale, enterprise agile solutions for agencies.

The combined company is touting its customers as including the Air Force, Transportation Command and Homeland Security Department.

Xenith's lone contract vehicle is IT Schedule 70, while Alexandria-based TCI's portfolio of vehicles includes the General Services Administration's 8(a) STARS II and the Air Force's Small Business Enterprise Applications Solutions.
