NVTC reveals its next CEO

The Northern Virginia Technology Council makes the long-awaited announcement of who will be its next CEO and successor to Bobbie Kilberg.
The Northern Virginia Technology Council announced Wednesday it has found the trade group’s next president and CEO in Jennifer Taylor, who will officially succeed longtime leader Bobbie Kilberg on Sept. 10.
Taylor also replaces Brad Schwartz, an NVTC board member who became acting chief executive after Kilberg’s retirement in June nearly 22 years at the helm.
An almost two-decade corporate veteran, Taylor will join NVTC after three years as vice president of industry affairs for the Consumer Technology Association that included the launch of CTA’s 21st Century Workforce Council, Diversity & Inclusion Working Group and Apprentice Coalition.
Her career also includes senior leadership roles at Segue Technologies’ Caring Village subsidiary, AARP, American Red Cross, RTCRM, KSK Communications and American College of Cardiology.
“I’m incredibly excited about NVTC’s future and the impactful role the organization will play to help grow and sustain an innovation community anchored by tech companies of all sizes, policy makers, venture capitalists, and academia,” Taylor said in a release.
“Jennifer’s background in the technology industry, combined with her experience with leading membership organizations, is perfectly suited for NVTC’s needs,” Kilberg said the same statement. “I’m confident she will build on what we’ve established and work to take NVTC to the next level.”
