HawkEye 360 board adds Raytheon, Airbus execs

The board of directors at space and data analytics company HawkEye 360 adds two new members that are top executives at some of its investors.

Space and data analytics company HawkEye 360 said Thursday that its board of directors has added two new members in Steve Worley and Chris Emerson, respectively executives at Raytheon Technologies and Airbus.

Worley is currently vice president and chief operating officer for the cybersecurity, training and services business line within Raytheon Technologies. Emerson leads Airbus U.S. Space and Defense Inc., the global aerospace giant’s federal government subsidiary headquartered in Herndon, Virginia.

Both Raytheon and Airbus are investors in HawkEye 360 alongside Advance, Esri, Razor’s Edge, Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, Space Angels and Shield Capital Partners.

Founded in 2015, HawkEye 360 develops small satellites to support signal geolocation functions that involve radio frequency analytics. Two years ago, the launched commercial formation flying satellites for geolocating multiple types of radio frequency signals.

Then last year, HawkEye 360 introduced to the market a lineup of products for space-based radio frequency analytics.
