Perspecta adds $277M Labor IT infrastructure award to civilian winning streak

Perspecta records another large award as part of its civilian business reboot in the form of a $277 million Labor Department IT contract.
Perspecta has booked a potential seven-year, $277 million contract to operate and maintain enterprise IT infrastructures for the Labor Department’s office of the chief information officer.
Work will take place over a one-year base period and up to six individual option years in support of a enterprise general support system, Perspecta said Tuesday.
Chantilly, Virginia-based Perspecta is touting this award as new work its civilian business, which the company has sought to reinvigorate over the past year through both new investments and the appointment of a new leader for the group in Rocky Thurston.
This DOL award represents the latest a string of bookings to show some progress on that front: a potential $810.5 million State Department IT services order won in December, and a potential $166 million Senate IT support contract secured in September.
For DOL, Perspecta will manage infrastructure and applications used by 16,000 end users across the U.S. that include 4,000 in the department’s OCIO headquarters office.
