Jacobs records $216M DOD cyber training support win

Jacobs Engineering Group has booked a potential five-year, $216.6 million task order to help design and develop new training initiatives for a Defense Department academy specialized in cyber incident responses and computer forensics.

Part of DOD’s Defense Cyber Crime Center, the Cyber Training Academy helps prepare personnel for work as part of DOD’s criminal investigative organizations and the Cyber Mission Forces that helped Cyber Command chief full operational capability in May of last year.

In a release Tuesday, Jacobs said its services will include course and curriculum development and creation of an on-demand cyber training program.

The order covers one initial base year followed by four individual option years and was awarded through the Alliant 2 Unrestricted vehicle by the General Services Administration’s FEDSIM acquisition organization, which received three total bids including that of Jacobs.
