Fresh off investor backing, IC IT firm hires new growth chief

On the heels of a new investment, intelligence community IT outfit Intrepid hires a new executive to chart its growth strategies both organic and through acquisitions.

On the heels of getting new financial backing, Intrepid Solutions and Services has made an addition to its executive team as the intelligence community IT contractor charts its next phase.

Sterling, Virginia-based Intrepid has hired Ken Diller as executive vice president and chief growth officer to help steer strategies for both organic pursuits and mergers and acquisitions, the company said Tuesday.

Diller’s appointment comes nearly a week after Intrepid announced it received new backing from Bluestone Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused exclusively on middle-market government contractors.

Most recently, Diller managed the defense and national intelligence group at Huntington Ingalls Industries and joined the shipbuilder upon its February acquisition of Fulcrum IT Services.

He was vice president of corporate development at Fulcrum for five years, a period that saw the company grow from $30 million to at least $180 million in revenue.

Diller’s career also includes roles at CGI, Stanley Inc. and Oberon Associates.
