UiPath appoints new federal lead

Automation software company UiPath hires Symantec executive Chris Townsend to oversee federal sales efforts.

Automation software company UiPath has hired two-decade federal IT veteran former Symantec executive Chris Townsend as area vice president of federal sales.

Townsend will lead the New York City-based outfit’s efforts to further push robotic process automation technologies across agencies, UiPath said Thursday.

At Symantec, Townsend was federal vice president of sales and operations. He also held public sector sales leadership roles at Blue Coat Systems, Intel and Cisco.
