VA preps on-ramp for $22B T4NG contract

The Veterans Affairs Department is getting ready to kick off an on-ramp process for companies to take another shot at the VA’s main contract vehicle for IT services.

In a July 30 FedBizOpps notice, the VA said it is limiting this on-ramp for its potential $22.3 billion “T4NG” contract to service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses and will select seven of them for an award. A draft request for proposal is scheduled for release in September, a final RFP to follow in November and then awards by March 2021.

Opened for business in Summer 2016, 28 companies hold prime positions on the Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology contract with 16 of them being service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses or “SDVOSBs.”

T4NG is a centralized procurement for the VA to acquire IT and other professional services including cybersecurity, systems and software engineering, program management and network engineering. Those offerings also cover health IT requirements. Other agencies can also use the vehicle.
