Cognosante hires Maximus, GDIT vet Gordon

Health IT contractor Cognosante hires former Maximus and General Dynamics IT executive James Gordon to the leadership team.
Health IT contractor Cognosante said Monday it has hired former Maximus executive James Gordon as president.
Gordon more recently was a division president in Maximus' federal services segment and led that business through the integration of the former General Dynamics IT call center business.
Maximus acquired the citizen contact and call center business in November of last year for $400 million.
Prior to Maximus, Gordon spent 11 years at GDIT in leadership roles that supported agencies such as the Health and Human Services and Veterans Affairs departments, plus the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
