IPKeys eyes critical infrastructure market through acquisition

Security technology integrator IPKeys said Monday it has acquired SigmaFlow, a provider of automated compliance tools for utilities and other highly-regulated critical infrastructure entities.

Terms of the transaction were undisclosed but IPKeys touts the deal as helping it further expand into the utility and public safety markets through the company’s cloud-based “Cyber Lab as a Service” platform and other services.

Eatontown, New Jersey-based IPKeys already offers those services to civilian and defense agencies.

IPKeys has additionally hired former Hemisphere Cyber Risk Management CEO Carter Schoenberg as executive vice president of cyber solutions to oversee the rollout effort. Schoenberg has 19 years of commercial and government market experience.

England & Company provided advisory services to IPKeys for the transaction.
