Booz Allen takes DOD ID refresh contract

Booz Allen Hamilton has won a $36.7 million contract to refresh technology for the Defense Department’s Identity Dominance System.
Booz Allen Hamilton has won a $36.7 million contract to upgrade technology used for the Defense Department’s Identity Dominance System.
The company will refresh the system’s current configuration, including the acquisition of a hand-held biometric device to replace the current system.
Most of the work will occur in McLean, Virginia and should be completed by January 2024.
Booz Allen was one of three bidders to pursue the contract. Navy R&D funds totaling $1.5 million have been obligated to start the project.
The Identity Dominance System is a biometric data collection system that allows the service branches to collect, share and match identity information.
