Unisys adds Iridium CEO to board

Unisys Corp. said Wednesday that Matt Desch, CEO of Iridium Communications, has joined the global IT services company's board of directors in a move to take effect Jan. 1, 2019.

Desch has led the mobile satellite communications company Iridium since 2006. Unisys cited his experience in core focus industries such as government, travel and transportation. Iridium is scheduled to launch in January the final batch of satellites for its next-generation constellation to link remote locations with mobile communications capabilities.

Prior to Iridium, Desch was CEO of Telcordia Technologies and before that held executive roles at Nortel Networks Corp.
