Northrop Grumman promotes Lucy Ryan to corporate vice president of communications.

Northrop Grumman said Thursday it has promoted Lucy Ryan to corporate vice president of communications in a move that takes effect Jan. 1, 2019.

Ryan will report directly to Kathy Warden, who becomes CEO on that date, and oversee the company’s worldwide communications strategy to include media relations and employee communications. She will also lead the advertising, digital communications, executive communications and branding functions.

She joined Northrop in September as vice president of enterprise communications. Prior to that, she was director of communications at General Dynamics.
