PBGC awards TeraThink $100M IT services contract

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation awards a $100 million contract to TeraThink for IT services.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation has awarded a potential five-year, $100 million contract to TeraThink for IT services to help run the agency’s financial management system.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Thursday says work will encompass advisory, development, operations and maintenance support.

Deltek data indicates that while this is technically a new requirement, PBGC expected current contracts held by Booz Allen Hamilton to transition into task orders for the new indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award.

Booz Allen has held the work since April 2003 under its current contracts and a pair of task orders have expiration dates of March and December of this year. Another pair is slated to expire in February 2020 and then in September 2020.

PBGC received five total offers for the contract, according to Federal Procurement Data System information.
