ICF books $120M USAID disease surveillance support order

ICF takes a $120 million task order to help the U.S. Agency for International Development work with international partners on the detection and surveillance of infectious diseases.
ICF has booked a potential five-year, $120 million task order to help the U.S. Agency for International Development work with international partners on the detection and surveillance of infectious diseases.
USAID awarded the order through the General Services Administration's OASIS professional services vehicle. The order has a term of one base year followed by four option years, ICF said Tuesday.
The work includes implementation support and capacity building services to help countries develop or improve national diagnostic networks, laboratory systems and surveillance mechanisms to detect and monitor both emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
This task order is intended to support USAID's role in the Global Health Security Agenda, a worldwide effort to help other countries prioritize health security as a worldwide and national priority.
