Huntington Ingalls promotes Brady to SN3 unit COO

Huntington Ingalls Industries promotes 17-year company veteran Sharon Brady to chief operating officer of the SN3 business within the shipbuilder’s services segment.

Huntington Ingalls Industries said Tuesday it has promoted 17-year company veteran Sharon Brady to chief operating officer of the SN3 business within the shipbuilder’s services segment.

The move took effect June 4 and Brady moves into this role from her prior position as director of business services for the Savannah River National Laboratory, where SN3 is part of the contract management team for the lab.

Brady’s appointment comes three months after Huntington Ingalls moved one of its corporate executive vice presidents in Michael Smith to president of SN3, one of seven businesses within the military shipbuilder’s Technical Solutions segment.

SN3 provides services to the Energy Department in management, operations and environmental cleanup.

The business has in the past year strung together a pair multi-billion dollar contract wins via joint ventures to manage large DOE facilities including the Nevada National Security Site and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
