General Dynamics has won a potential six-year, $628 million task order to provide IT services at the Department of Homeland Security’s future headquarters in Washington, D.C.
This award continues General Dynamics’ support of the DHS headquarters relocation as the agency works toward the move to land formerly occupied by St. Elizabeths Hospital.
The company said Thursday it was awarded a task order in 2011 to provide IT infrastructure for computer networking, telecommunications, building management and physical security requirements.
DHS received one other bid for the order, according to information from the Federal Procurement Spending Data system.
The latest order covers IT operations, maintenance and logistics support for continued development, expansion and design of new and rehabilitated buildings at the campus. Other work includes smart building technology and IT modernization services.
DHS is eyeing the relocation to the west campus of St. Elizabeths to be completed by 2021.
