Knight Point wins $902M DISA comms equipment recompete

Knight Point Systems has won a potential 10-year, $902 million contract to continue its communication infrastructure services for the Defense Information Systems Agency.

This award keeps work Reston, Virginia-based Knight Point performed under a predecessor contract first awarded in 2011. The Communications Capacity Services II recompete contract has five-year base period followed by five one-year options, the Defense Department said in its Thursday contracts digest.

CSC II covers hardware and software equipment such as routers, switches, appliances, monitoring equipment, monitoring and reporting software, and other supporting devices used by both DOD and its partners.

Work will take place at 12 locations inside the U.S. with incidental performance around the world.

The predecessor “CSC I” contract had an eight-year term and reached its $298 million ceiling, according to Deltek data.
