General Dynamics’ IT hardware business takes in a $208 million Navy contract to deliver additional radios for use on ships and submarines.

General Dynamics’ IT hardware business has received a five-year, $208 million contract to deliver additional radios to the Navy for use in voice and data communications aboard the branch’s ships and submarines.

The contract covers procurement, testing and delivery of ANC/USC-61 digital modular radios built with multiple communication waveforms and multi-level information security functions, the General Dynamics said Friday.

More than 700 DMR radios are deployed across the Navy’s fleet, the company says.
