The company -- through its Computer Sciences Corp. heritage -- has supported the helicopters for more than a decade.
The new contract is worth $38.5 million and was awarded under the R2-3G vehicle. Work will take place at CSRA’s New Bern, N.C. facility as well as other locations such as Naval Base Coronado near San Diego and Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia.
The company will provide design, fabrication, assembly and support for prototyping and system installation on the aircraft, CSRA said in an announcement.
The Navy is in the process of upgrading the helicopters with new systems and features that were not available when the Seahawk was first built.
This contract follows another $5.4 million contract with the Marine Corps to upgrade the AV-8B-Harrier II jet aircraft.
