NavAir releases RFP for support services

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is creating a five-year small business contract for support services for its AIRWorks Division.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is creating a five-year indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract for contractor support services for its AIRWorks Division.

Officials released a formal request for proposals Sept. 27, and expects proposals by Oct. 31.

The IDIQ’s requirement is for a lead systems integrator to support new systems and to improve the existing systems related to manned and unmanned aircraft inventory. The division needs the prime to perform engineering, technical and project management support on various programs and platforms.

Tasks include:

  • Program and project management
  • Systems engineering
  • Test and evaluation
  • Acquisition support
  • Logistics support
  • Administrative and management support

The IDIQ is a total small business set-aside.

AIRWorks’s role is managing and executing projects as a government LSI. Its projects include rapid response, demonstration prototyping and fleet exercises.
