Former Harris IT business adds former Sotera CFO Pitsenberger

The yet-unnamed Harris IT services business adds former Sotera Defense CFO John Pitsenberger in the same role to continue construction of the leadership team.

The former Harris Corp. government IT services business has made the latest addition to its executive team under Veritas Capital's ownership through the hire of a new chief financial officer.

Former Sotera Defense Solutions CFO John Pitsenberger has been appointed to the same role as the yet-unnamed business currently under temporary branding as MHVC Acquisition Corp. He held the CFO role at Sotera for almost two years until that company was acquired by KeyW Corp. in April.

Pitsenberger is the fifth major hire to the MHVC leadership team since Veritas Capital acquired the Harris IT business in April. Former Leidos and Science Applications International Corp. executive Stu Shea joined the Herndon, Va.-based IT business in June as CEO.

The business announced three appointments in April that included two-decade Harris veteran Jeremy Wensinger as chief operating officer, along with fellow industry veterans James Winner as chief legal counsel and general counsel and Robert Giannetta for chief information officer.

Prior to Sotera, Pitsenberger's career includes stints as vice president and corporate controller at PAE and Apptis. He helped lead Apptis through its 2011 sale to URS Corp. Before Apptis, he helped take Deltek through its 2007 initial public offering.
