Insight wins Navy Microsoft software order

Insight Public Sector will provide Microsoft licenses and software assurance services to the Navy under a new delivery order.

Insight Public Sector has won a one-year, $8.6 million delivery order for Microsoft product licenses and software assurances to the Navy.

This order covers products and services in support of the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services program to modernize the Navy's ship-based networks.

All Microsoft Department of Defense Enterprise Software Initiative agreement holders were eligible for the order: CDW-G, Dell, GovConnection, Insight Public Sector, Minburn Technology Group, SHI International Corp. and Softchoice Corp.

The Navy executed the order against its mandatory use agreement for Microsoft licensing. The order is also subject to the policy established in the “Mandatory Use of Department of the Navy Enterprise Licensing Agreements.”

That policy mandates Navy organizations use only that ELA to acquire software products, hardware and related services offered by that ELA.
