Cubic subsidiary books special ops comms equipment orders

A Cubic Corp. subsidiary has received a pair of delivery orders for secure networking equipment to support communications for a U.S. Special Operations Command network.

DTECH Labs will give Special Operations Command the business’ M3-SE product line in an effort to also give forces a distributed cloud architecture in the battlefield. The Joint Interoperability Test Command has certified the DTECH product for use in special operations information environments.

Products covered under these delivery orders will support the command’s Tactical Local Area Network.

San Diego-based Cubic acquired DTECH for $114.5 million in 2004 to add new ruggedized networking products and new footprints with Special Operations Command and the Marine Corps.
