The URS Federal Services business of AECOM has won a potential eight-and-a-half year, $263.9 million contract to help operate and maintain facilities at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.

Work under the initial base year will start July 1 and take place through June 30, 2018. The contract includes seven one-year options and a six-month option after that.

AECOM acquired its former engineering and construction rival URS in late 2014 for close to $6 billion.

URS' services to Marshall will include areas such as labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, spare parts, incidental engineering, transportation and management of operations and maintenance functions for facilities and equipment.
