FBI to check out vendors’ EA tools

The FBI CIO is looking for enterprise architecture tools to help agency leaders share data and assets.

The FBI CIO wants to evaluate enterprise architecture tools so the agency can share data and assets among various senior executives.

The FBI expects the tools to give it a strategic view, business view and an IT view of the agency’s initiatives, investments, capabilities, services, infrastructure, and applications, according to a new RFI.

The tools should have key features, such as a centralized multi-user repository, cloud-hosted or on-premise-hosted, and visualize portfolio relationships among key stakeholders.

All tools deployed on the FBI enterprise must support defense, federal and industry reference models.

As officials check out the tools, they want the tools at no cost for as many as four months without engineering reach-back costs.

The FBI released the sources sought notice April 18. Responses are due by May 2.
