Verizon wins Navy phone services contract

Verizon will link two Navy bases in the Hampton Roads region to telephone services under a five-year, $24.5 million contract.

Verizon has won a five-year, $24.5 million contract to connect a pair of Navy bases in Virginia’s Hampton Roads region with analog and digital telephone services.

The company will offer the telephone services to the Naval Station Norfolk and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach.

Naval Supply Systems Command received two offers for the contract through a competitive procurement process.
