Leidos reports $395M DHS cyber contract win

Leidos will help run a Department of Homeland Security center responsible for cyber intrusion detection work under a potential seven-year, $395 million contract.

Leidos will help the Department of Homeland Security operate a center responsible for detecting and responding to cyber intrusions on DHS networks under a potential seven-year, $395 million contract.

DHS awarded the contract in August to the Lockheed Martin IS&GS business segment that had merged into Leidos, according to Deltek. The contract was announced just two weeks after the Leidos-Lockheed deal closed.

The single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes one base year and six one-year options.

DHS’ Next Generation Security Operations Center coordinates with US-CERT, intelligence agencies and other DHS components on detection and response activities.
