Juniper hires former DISA CTO

Juniper Networks has hired form DISA CTO David Mihelcic to help guide the development of new network security products and services.

Juniper Networks has hired David Mihelcic to help guide its develop of new network security products and services.

Mihelcic comes to Juniper after more than 30 years in government. He retired Feb. 22 as the chief technology officer of the Defense Information Systems Agency.

At DISA he was the senior authority on scientific, technical and engineering matters. He developed DOD’s enterprise-wide systems engineering process and he changed the way DISA plans and integrates joint, interoperable and security network-centric capabilities.

The company said he will have “full visibility into the future technology roadmap and product development and will provide counsel on infrastructure modernization initiatives with a primary focus on network security.”
