Microsoft to provide software developers, product teams to DISA under $927M contract

Microsoft has won a $927 million contract to provide the Defense Information Systems Agency with Microsoft Enterprise Technical Support Services.

Microsoft has won a $927 million contract to provide the Defense Information Systems Agency with Microsoft Enterprise Technical Support Services.

Through the contract, Microsoft will provide Microsoft Blue Badge Cardholder support, which according to the New York Times means full-time Microsoft employees, as opposed to temporary workers and independent contractors, who hold orange badges.

The blue badge employees assigned to this contract are software developers and product teams that will leverage proprietary resources, source code and premier support services, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work is expected to be completed in December 2021.
