IT job growth rises slowly in November

Information technology jobs have continued growing from last month, though the growth has decelerated, according to a report from TechServe Alliance.

For the month of November, the uptick in IT-related jobs was 0.1 percent, with the number of jobs reaching 5.178 million. On a year-over-year basis, the report said, IT job growth is up by 2.7 percent from November 2015, or 135,300 IT workers.

Engineering job growth also continued in November, but only barely, growing by 0.1 percent, bringing the total number of jobs to 2.543 million. On a year-over-year basis, this number is up 0.8 percent from November 2015, or 20,500 engineers.
