CSRA lands $114M task order to support Pentagon network security

CSRA has won a $114 million task order to help deter and neutralize malicious activities for various offices within the Pentagon.

The task order, awarded under the CIO-SP3 contract vehicle, has a period of performance of over four and a half years.

Under the contract, CSRA will develop and deploy a security network strategy.

This will include blocking, detecting, reacting and responding to network incidents as well as leveraging tactics, techniques and procedures to prevent future incidents from occurring, CSRA said in a release.

The company will also work with U.S. Cyber Command and other government agencies to provide situational awareness about incidents and potential network threats, the company said.

The task order was awarded as part of the Defense Department Joint Service Provider program, which FCW reported was established to reduce redundancies in how DOD delivers information technology services across its vast bureaucracy.
