Air Force plans $950M small business cyber IDIQ
The Air Force Research Laboratory plans to award a five-year, $950 million small business contract to advance its cybersecurity efforts.
The Air Force Research Laboratory plans to award a five-year, $950 million small business contract to advance its cybersecurity efforts.
The Air Force intends to release a draft request for proposals for the Agile Cyber Technology 2 (ACT2) IDIQ in December and a formal solicitation in February.
The Air Force will make multiple awards to between four and six small businesses, under a total small business set-aside. The department has urged large companies to partner with small businesses.
The IDIQ’s technical requirements include rapid development, prototyping, scenario development, experimentation and evaluation, and integration. Work will include transitions through initial operations and cyber technologies.
Furthermore, the companies will support the Air Force’s cybersecurity work in several task areas:
- Cyber threat avoidance and cyber defense
- Full-spectrum cyber operations
- Cyber network exploitation
- Cyber situation and mission awareness
- Cyber command and control
- Cyber modeling, simulation, and wargaming
- Cyber infrastructure
- Cyber mission assurance
The Air Force released a presolicitation notice Oct. 12.
