Lockheed Martin has won a $127.5 million contract to provide contractor logistics support to the Air Force’s Space-Based Infrared System.
Lockheed Martin has won a $127.5 million contract to provide contractor logistics support to the Air Force’s Space-Based Infrared System.
The SBIRS program is designed to provide global, persistent, infrared surveillance capabilities to meet 21st century demands in the areas of missile warning, missile defense, technical intelligence, and battlespace awareness, Lockheed Martin said on its website.
Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will provide operations and sustainment and factory infrastructure support services for the SBIRS program.
Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and Colorado Springs, Colo., and is expected to be completed in September 2017.
