Obsidian Solutions Group, LLC, was awarded a five-year, $35.2 million contract for supply chain management analysis services for the Defense Department.

Obsidian, an 8(a) small business based in Fredericksburg, Va., will provide DOD’s Office of Counterintelligence Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Threat Analysis Center (TAC) with strategic-level analysis of the supply chain.

The SCRM TAC provides research, analysis, and production of all-source intelligence products on supply chain threats as the defense acquisition community requests information. Its threat analysis of the acquisition programs can reduce the risk of adversaries sabotaging or introducing malicious items into the supply chain.

Obsidian will help DOD meet its strategic goals and objectives in protecting the supply chain from enemies. Among the work, the all-source analysis will focus on foreign intelligence entities to bolster DOD’s supply chain.

DOD announced the award Sept. 27.
