Air Force plans Open Mission Systems industry days

The Air Force is hosting an industry event in November to discuss the details of its Open Mission Systems/ Unmanned Aerospace Systems Command and Control Initiative (OMS/UCI).

The Air Force is hosting an industry event in November to discuss the details of its Open Mission Systems/ Unmanned Aerospace Systems Command and Control Initiative (OMS/UCI).

The event will be Nov. 15 and 16 in Dayton, Ohio.

The Air Force’s goal for industry is to understand the technical details of the OMS/UCI standard and how to begin using these tools in system developments.

The Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office leads the OMS initiative. OMS is for developing and demonstrating a consensus-based, non-proprietary, open architecture for integrating subsystems and services into airborne platforms.

The Air Force announced the industry days Sept. 22.
