Progeny Systems to support Navy submarine C5I under $31M contract

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $31 million contract to provide engineering and technical services to the Navy in support of its submarine C5I capabilities.

Progeny Systems Corp. has won a $31 million contract to provide engineering and technical services to the Navy in support of its submarine C5I capabilities.

Under the contract, Progeny Systems will provide the engineering and technical services necessary to integrate hardware that supports non-propulsion electronic subsystems as well as submarine command, control, communications, computers, combat and intelligence, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., Norfolk, Va., and Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed in August 2021.

The contract was awarded as part of the Small Business Innovation Research program, the Defense Department said in a release.
