Who won the biggest contracts of 2015?

Each month, Washington Technology posts a list of the top 10 contract awards, with giant contracts taking the top spots each time.

But with 2015 in the rear-view mirror, we can look back and see one remarkable trend:

Washington Technology reported on 569 contracts in 2015, down from the 635 contracts reported on in 2014. Contract counts varied from month to month, but most of the time, the 2015 count paled in comparison to the contract count of 2014.

Only four months in 2015 -- July, August, September and November -- saw more contract awards when compared to the same months the previous year.

As we look at the top awards from 2015 it is important to note that were many contracts, especially the big ones, that shared the same ceiling value; therefore, there are a few ties within rankings. This list also includes contracts that may be currently under protest. If it was awarded, and if that award was not overturned, it appears on this list.

Of the top 30 contracts in 2015, 13 were single award contracts, the rest are multiple award contracts.

NASA has named 107 small businesses winners of prime contracts under its $20 billion Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contract.

NASA made a total of 120 awards in Groups B and C to 107 companies. Thirteen companies won in both groups.

25 companies win spots on $20.9B Air Force training contract

The contract is the third version of the Training Systems Acquisitions program and is a partial small business set-aside contract, the Defense Department said, with 13 of the 25 winners being small businesses.
