Lockheed Martin has won a $30.5 million contract modification to continue its support of the Air Force’s Remote Sensing Directorate's Space-Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) program.
Lockheed Martin has won a $30.5 million contract modification to continue its support of the Air Force’s Remote Sensing Directorate's Space-Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) program.
The SBIRS program is designed to provide global, persistent, infrared surveillance capabilities to meet 21st century demands in the areas of missile warning, missile defense, technical intelligence, and battlespace awareness, Lockheed Martin said on its website.
Under the contract, the company will provide contractor logistics support.
Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and Aurora, Colo., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2016.
