Blue Canopy wins $39M contract to improve SEC computing, analytics

Blue Canopy Group has won a $39 million contract to support the Securities and Exchange Commission’s computing and analytics efforts.

Blue Canopy Group has won a $39 million contract to support the Securities and Exchange Commission’s computing and analytics efforts.

This contract was won under the CIO-SP3 CB contract.

Under the contract, Blue Canopy will provide the SEC’s Office of Information Technology with a FedRAMP-certified high performance compute infrastructure with a big data analytics capability hosted on Amazon Web Services’ cloud environment, the company said in a release.

The infrastructure will help the SEC’s Enforcement and Compliance divisions in helping stop fraud. It will also improve the analysis and detection of real or potential transaction violations and improve event forensics, the company said.
