Raytheon has won a $65 million contract to support the U.S. Navy Forces Surveillance Support Center.
The mission of the Forces Surveillance Support Center is to operate and maintain the Relocatable Over-the-Horizon system, collecting and disseminating air and surface track data for evaluation, interpretation and over-the-horizon tracking of aircraft and ships suspected of trafficking, the Navy said on its website.
Under the contract, Raytheon will provide engineering and program support services for the radar system, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Va., Marlborough, Mass., Huntsville, Ala., Premont, Texas, Freer, Texas, Vieques, Puerto Rico, and Pounce, Texas, and is expected to be completed by August 2019.
