NCI wins $14M contract to support CMS

NCI Inc. has won a $14 million contract to provide program integrity services to the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.

NCI’s AdvanceMed business was awarded the Zone Program Integrity Contractor contract for Zone 3, which seeks to identify and reduce Medicare fraud in the seven states covered under the award, including Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Under the contract, the company will perform program integrity investigations, make coverage and coding determinations and implement administrative actions, NCI said in a release.

The company will also help coordinate potential fraud, waste and abuse mitigation activities with appropriate Medicare entities.
