IBM, PwC fight Army award to Ernst & Young

IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers have both filed bid protests over a contract won by Ernst & Young to help the Army modernize its financial management systems.
IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers have both filed bid protests over a contract won by Ernst & Young to help the Army modernize its financial management systems.
The contract, known as the Army General Fund Audit Readiness contract, also includes work on process, business rules and other systems that the Army uses to provide financial information to decisions makers, according to a draft performance work statement posted on the Deltek website.
Some of the specific tasks under the contract include identifying why the Army hasn’t been apple to maintain a complaint audit reports.
Deltek has an estimated value of $21.8 million on the contract.
IBM filed its protest June 2 with the Government Accountability Office, and a decision is expected by Sept. 10. PwC filed its protest May 30, and its decision deadline is Sept. 8.
